Thank you for your interest in the Guatemala Mission Journey! The Student Ministry will be handling the programming and training of this journey.

We recognize that this application requires specific criteria, skills, and expectations. Please understand that the reasoning behind this is due to the quality of experience we want to offer, the limited space of the participants, and the timing of this journey. As this is the first year for this experience, we anticipate that it will grow in opportunity to a larger group of students in years to come.

As there are limited spots for this experience, (20 students and 5 adults) we are asking that you complete this application as soon as you know you would like to go.

PURPOSE OF THIS JOURNEY

This journey was created in partnership with the Brentwood Baptist Missions Ministry to offer a specific atmosphere where students are equipped to serve God at an international location.
We have designed this journey with students in mind, and have recruited adult leaders who know how to help students serve and grow in this unique missions setting.

WHO CAN GO

Students who have completed Grade 9 by July 29th (date of this Journey).
Students who are willing to fully participate in every aspect of the journey.
Students who meet the specific criteria and expectations outlined in the application.
Students who have graduated from the PLACE class.
Students who have a current passport (as this is an international trip)

COST

$200 Deposit – For your application to be considered, a $200 deposit must be paid online or turned in to the Student Ministry office. If your application does not meet the criteria or if your circumstances change prior to June 1, we will refund the $200. (A link to pay online is provided at the end of this application).
Balance for Brentwood Baptist Members – $950 (after 25% mission journey scholarship is applied)
Balance for Non-Brentwood Baptist Members – $1,325

	Mission Journey Scholarship
	If our records indicate that you are a member of Brentwood Baptist, you will receive a BBC Missions Journey Scholarship of 25% of Mission Journey Expense.
	Payment Agreement
	By checking the box next to the statement that correctly identifies you, you acknowledge that you are responsible for keeping that financial promise should you be selected to go on this journey.
	I am a member of Brentwood Baptist Church, and I agree to pay $950 of the journey cost. I understand that if the church records indicate that my membership is not complete, then I will be responsible for the full cost of the journey.
	I am not a member of Brentwood Baptist Church, and I agree to pay the full cost of $1325.

To be eligible for consideration for this journey, your deposit of $200 must be made. This can be done electronically by clicking the link at the end of this application or by bringing your deposit to the student ministry offices. Once your form and payment have been received, we will count your application complete. 2. You will receive a phone call from our ministry to let you know the outcome of your application no later than May 1. We will accept the first 20 complete applications and confirm the criteria required for this journey. (see required Criteria section of the application for details).
